Layout and Assets done in Maya, ZBrush, FX snow on Speedtree trees finished in Houdini, DMP in Nuke, Lighting in Katana by other dept. comped by comp dept. Huge team effort, shots were from my team and I supervised it helping where and when I can. Starting shots, creatively establishing them at a concept design stage and once approved by the director planning on technically achieving the visual target along the production. Handing off started work and helping to complete them along the way. From bidding and scheduling to daily reviews etc.

Cave was total replacement and matching to the set and extension from a 3d base from Environment artists and finished in Matte Painting within Nuke. Again a team effort, shots were from my team and I supervised it helping where and when I can. Starting shots, handing off to complete or sourcing material & finding creative and technical solutions while having daily reviews and updates from feedback from director and vfx sup.

Hills, mountains & skies (10k+ wide coverage to cover multiple shots within many sequences) 3D using USGS (geological satellite data) to generate geo and image maps from satellite data. Maya & DMP finishing in Photoshop.

Wall sequence - Wall and surrounding ground areas and far bg mountains done for several shots. Iterating on in progress work established by many other artists on the team. Huge group effort. Pushing things further by adding Matte Painting makeovers and refining the result until approved.
Birds eye view shot - Everything but the fx and creatures. Wall provided by assets dept.
Balloon sequence - mid ground buildings to the far bg mountains as well as skies. Rendered in Vray, Matte Painting in Photoshop projected in Nuke.

Horse training ground areas - grass replacement and additions/extensions (horse track, bushes, trees, rocks etc) BG mountains by other artist.
2nd Training ground - set extension past the ground area (view towards Wonder Woman) Rocks & surrounding water.

Summary of this film.. an alien phenomenon creates abnormal organic overgrowth of trees, fungi, flowers etc.
1st & 2nd shots - Mid ground to bg greenery overgrowth with buildings as well as added tree lines.
Forest shot - added trees and funghi overgrowth to the main fg close to live action.
Matte Painting in Photoshop & projections in Nuke.

@METHOD STUDIOS: GODS OF EGYPT - Matte Painting / Environments Supervisor & Art Director:
City sequence - responsible for mid-ground bridges & tall building screen left and their surrounding areas to far bg area & sky includes tail end water and its buildings, boats & cliffside. (except the bridge at the tail end of shot & statue area to fg). More than 180 degree coverage of this full city to accommodate other shots within that sequence not seen here.
Curtain reveal sequence - everything in back of the live action as per blue screen. (set area within the curtains done by assets dept). This environment was used for more shots within multiple sequences not seen here that covered more than 180 degrees.
Layout, surfacing, lighting, modelling with Maya & Katana using Vray & Arnold, Matte Painting in Photoshop, projections in Nuke.
