VR 180-360 degree helicopter theme park rides created using Clarisse. 8k Renders Projected onto huge screens.
The goal here wasn’t realism as the budget didn’t allow it. We had 3 projects of this kind running with a short period to complete it. We circled back for minor iterations at best. We didn’t have the luxury to look dev each asset and dmp every shot either. It was a mad race to get all of it rendered let alone polished to photoreal perfection unfortunately.
That being said…
Assets created in Maya, ZBrush, Speedtree, Gaea, DEM elevation maps of actual locations using MegaScans where we can & Matte Painted - lighting and rendered all in Clarisse. No motion blur or depth of field added due to the VR nature of the work.
I helped to Art Direct to drive the creative look as well as complete the work on visual target quickly during the production working with the VFX Sup & production. (modeling, DMP, layout, scattering, lighting etc). DMP was used for speed to achieve a facelift where 3d left off due to time constraints.
